Your tasks

• Supporting the Category Manager in the strategic development of the group-wide network of manufacturers and distributors, as well as the product group strategy
• Developing and maintaining a group-wide database for the component portfolio (including AI-supported analyses), as well as establishing KPIs and procurement analyses
• Preparing potential, savings, forecast and coverage analyses in close coordination with S&OP
• Lifecycle, obsolescence and risk management for electronic components (including LTB/LTS, tool usage and stakeholder coordination)
• Initiating and supporting change requests as well as redesign/modification projects, taking into account cost and risk considerations
• Strategic support for operational procurement issues: process and interface optimisation, supplier enquiries, volume contracts and ERP data maintenance
• Support for group-wide projects on standardised manufacturer and component selection, as well as preparation for annual reviews
• Ensuring supply chain security (counterfeit and broker prevention) and further development of distributor relationships
  
  

Your profile

• A degree in business administration and/or engineering, or vocational training in a commercial or technical field
• Several years’ practical experience in procurement within a manufacturing company, in the field of electronics or electromechanics
• Good knowledge of electronics
• Strong aptitude for working with figures and data
• A keen motivation to engage with and utilise AI tools and new technologies
• Good decision-making skills, assertiveness, and a focus on objectives and resources.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems
• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Analytical, solution-oriented mindset and a hands-on approach
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, as well as enjoyment of working in a dynamic team
