Business Analyst (Finance) - Chile

This is a one-year fixed-term position.

Liberty Mutual Surety has an excellent opportunity in Santiago de Chile for a Business Analyst (Finance). In this role, you will be the functional expert in the data collection from the new core system: master its logic and capabilities to automate reconciliations between applications, build management reporting and KPIs, and sustain the quality of the data that feeds both the operation and the regulatory reports defined within the Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Be the functional expert in the reports of the new core system, mastering its logic, capabilities and deliverables to act as a reference superuser.
• Design and implement automation of reconciliations between applications to ensure information integrity.
• Design and generate management reports, profitability analysis by product, KPIs and regulatory reports from core system data.
• Ensure data quality through regular checks, detection of inconsistencies, and continuous improvement of data governance processes.
• Proactively perform advanced data analysis—including data mining and process mining—to uncover patterns, identify inefficiencies, and generate opportunities for improvement in the area's processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Information/Data Engineering or Commercial Engineering.
• 3-5 years of work experience as Business Analyst/BI roles, ideally in insurance or financial services.
• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI or Tableau, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with data process automation (ETL, reconciliations, data quality checks).
• Intermediate English skills.
• Desirable: exposure to data mining / process mining, and core system implementation projects.
• Key competencies: analytical rigor and critical thinking in the face of data inconsistencies; effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences; autonomy and proactivity; ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and vice versa.
